Brněnskej vopruz 2008
Challenge for everyone for whom sweat, tears and sore arse while running and mountainbiking with map in the wilderness are the greatest pleasures and the only way how to spend Saturday 2nd August 2008.

Course explanation:
In the event centre on Friday 1st August at 9 p.m.
Finish Area:
In the heart of Czech-Moravian Highland.
In the finish area we’ve booked a cottage with capacity of 50 beds.
We will provide transport of your belongings (sleeping bags, mattress, tents, rugsacks etc.) to the finish.
If you’re still not tired enough, there is possibility of a beautiful MTB ride back to Brno on Sunday, (about 4 hours).
Those tired could take train. For very tired competitors we will provide transport back to Brno on Sunday.
If you continue somewhere else than Brno after the race we recommend to arrange for someone to take your car from start to the finish area during Saturday (exact location to be announced on 1st August 2008 at 9 p.m.)

Entry fee:
600 CZK or equivalent in EUR to be paid in by entries deadline, in exceptional cases in the Event Centre
The fee covers maps, day-long adventure, food and drinks on Sunday night in the finish, night on Friday in the Event Centre (own tent required) and night on Saturday in the cottage.

Accommodation:

On Saturday: in the cottage on bed or mattress or on the floor. There is also possibility to put up your tent in the garden.
Control points:
Orienteering: orienteering red and white flags with punchers
MTBO (scale 1.50 000): According to detail description on the control point you will find steel plate with a specific letter or number to be put down to your card in the correct order.
MTBO (on O-map – one-man.relay, eventually free order): orienteering red and white flags with punchers.
Mountain-O: According to detail description on the control point you will find steel plate with a specific letter or number to be put down to your card in the correct order.
Refreshments:
2 during MTBO course, 3rd before setting out onto Mountain-O.
Refreshment points will be accessible by competitor’s support team (if any), their respective locations will be disclosed to supporting teams at 8:00 a.m.
Food and drinks in the bags marked with start number will be taken to the refreshments points by organizers. The bags have to be handed over to organizers on Saturday morning in the Event Centre.
Fair Play:
Competitors must not receive any help from non-competitors during the race in form of refreshment and / or bike repair. Use of GPS for active navigation during the race is considered unfair.
Compulsory:
Mountain bike, helmet, spare tube, tools, pen, enough drinks and food, windproof or waterproof jacket.
